How to choose your Florida wedding photographer?
When looking for a South Florida wedding photographer, you want to hire a wedding photographer who fits within your price point, is of high quality, is extremely professional, and has a personality that meshes well with yours. Most people plan a Florida wedding with a certain price point in mind. It is important to know how much you are willing to spend on wedding photography and work within that. If coverage on your wedding is the most important thing, then I want to create a custom wedding package around the amount of hours you want me during your wedding day. If it is important for you to have wedding albums for you and your parents, then I want to make sure I can provide that to you within your wedding budget.
Jill Erwich Photography believes that your wedding photos are what is going to be the most lasting piece of your special day. If you do not care for photography, then there is no reason to spend a large portion of your wedding budget on it. South Florida Photography focuses on the bride and groom and the telling of the story of your wedding day from start to finish. I strive to provide beautiful timeless images that last a lifetime. All wedding packages include approximately 35-75 images per hour of coverage given to you as exposure and color corrected large resolution digital files on a DVD delivered four to six weeks the Monday after your event. Although I strive to have the fastest turn around time of any wedding photographer, I know waiting even 6 weeks to relieve your wedding through your photographs can feel like an eternity. That is why as a sneak peak while you wait for the all the full resolution wedding pictures to arrive, I will post in your private gallery and on my blog a preview of 5-10 images one week after your wedding.
On your wedding day, you will be spending a large amount of time with your florida wedding photographer, so it should be someone you trust and feel comfortable around. You do not want the stress of having to tell your photographer what to do. You want to know that they know what they are doing and be confident that they are doing a great job. Of all the things to worry about on your wedding day, a wedding photographer should not be one of them. When you hire Jill Erwich Photography, you get me, Jill Erwich, as your main photographer. I always arrive prepared with top of the line equipment, fully ready for the full time you have hired me for. I highly recommend setting up a time at the least to talk on the phone with me. Ideally I would be able to meet up with all my clients and maybe even photograph them for an engagement session, but I know this does fit into everyone's schedule.

To first look or not to first look?
There are a lot of jargon when it comes to wedding and working in the wedding industry that your forget what is common place and what is not. A first look is when you see your fiancé for the first time before down the aisle. While this is not the traditional way, it can be a really great moment. Walking down the aisle is one of the most overwhelming parts of your wedding day. Having all of your favorite family and friends looking at you is the most heartwarming and overwhelming feelings. The first look provides you a time alone with your fiancé before the ceremony. It is a really intimate time to see each other for the first time and appreciate what this day is all about... your commitment to each other for the rest of your lives. While tradition dictates you do not see each other until you walk down the aisle, this can become a replacement moment for that and allows you to have that same experience but in a more private and personal setting. The first look also provides a great time before the ceremony to get photographs of you and your fiancé as well as your bridal party and family, this way you can go straight from your ceremony to enjoying your cocktail hour. When doing a first look, we are able to capture a ton more fun and creative images of your bridal party that you will cherish. It is also nice to do a first look so we can do bridal party photographs before the sun goes down. If you decide to not do a first look, I recommend not doing a receiving line, because it takes away from the time of doing formal photos with you fiancé, bridal party and family. The more time we can a lot to these photographs, the better they will be and the more options you will have to choose from when building albums and framing photos.
